What Matters most??

Is the silence worth it,
owing to the importance of the moment...

Feelings of affection or envy,
were the choices that we had...

Henceforth, two parallel universe diverge,
that may decide the fate of our bond...

In one there'll be no talking,
no thinking or nagging about each other...

While in other happiness will be bright,
deep in the spirit of our togetherness...

The destiny is not in my hand,
but the latter one is the one I'd prefer...

For if it was on my choice at all,
I will chose to live each day in your presence...

Some relations are not just about love,
Its the happiness of being with each other that matters the most...

The Dilemma

The pain sublimes,
and the tears wash away...
The life enters a fresh phase,
Looking forward to Happiness....

A bright start welcomes you,
A new journey is all set to start...
everything seems promising and lucrative,
even the thought of a smile...

And then came a stage,
where fear came surrounding...
the past memories got revamped,
and the pain was revived...

The question became highlighted,
whether or not i should do this...
for my past had it broken and thrashed,
and yet whether I should trust again or not...

Is it the uncertainty of the moment,
or the surprise in store that awaits...
till that moment comes its just a wait,
stuck in present, stuck with Dilemma!!!

Affection is the Solution

Peace is surely not what the world needs,
For peace was there long back when the change had begun...

Progress of the mankind keeps on happening,
With ages to come & ages to go in all...

And that would cease out the peace from the world,
So nature will suffer the consequence of our change...

The leap that exist in our world needs an extra step,
To cover the gap, To bring back & bond the world together...

Affection for fellow homo sapiens can make the world better,
Where there's no hatred, no envy, no ego, only affection...

Where sweetness can overshadow the social background,
Where smile on any face makes it pleasing & beautiful...

Where respect is not merely a formality, but comes naturally,
Where self interest merely doesn't exist...

Every achievement is dedicated to the mankind,
And all hardwork of women and men leads to prosperity...

No belief is imposed by religion but by scientific temper,

Where dilemma ceases & superstitions make their way out...

And that very day people will proudly say,
"We are Humanitarian!!! And we move by affection"

Primera experiencia en Dahi-Handi

An invitation to what Amchi Mumbai is famous for post Janamashtami, The Dahi Handi Festivity.
A tradition that dates back to lord Krishna's time. It Initially originate as the curd handi's were tied high using a rope to save it from the "Dahi-Makhan Chor" Lord Krishna, who used to steal makhan (butter) or dahi (curd) from handis forming Human Pyramids.

Had an opportunity to see it live for the first time when Mayur, A friend of mine, who stays in Bandra invited me and some of our friends for the Dahi Handi that takes place in his locality.

He has been organizing and participating in the same event since a long time.
The experience became extraordinary when he asked to participate in it. My first understanding of the activity was the unity that it creates among the people of a locality. People from different culture and age group came together and joined in for the event. On one hand we were trying to figure out strategies to form a pyramid and on the other hand ladies were busy pouring water on us and throwing packets filled with water on us. The task though became difficult was equally fun. All of us were determined to reach our goal i.e. reach up to Handi and break it.

A number of failed attempts that resulted in people falling down were just a small part of the efforts put in by all of us. But eventually we did succeed in breaking the handi. And as if The Lord Krishna himself came to bless us all the curd came down on us as  blessings.

The fun did not end here. The tired bodies obviously need some fuel. The same was provided in the form of Home-cooked, hot Missal Pao and Pulao prepared by my friend's Mother and Sister In-law. And it was definitely a great feeling having this food with all my dear friends around me. And to top it all the warm and jovial welcome that we got from my friend's family. A day that turned out amazing and finally making feel the spirit and joy of Mumbai.
